Let's get back to reality. Celebrating SHINee's 5th Anniversary on the anniversary day itself is too mainstream and we beg to differ. Ops don't be mad I am just having an excuse. Peace. ^^

SHINee is one of the K-pop artists who have the biggest fan kingdom or fandom here in the Philippines. The official fanclub name of SHINee here is simply SHINee World Philippines. Guess what? It's amazing to know how the three biggest islands in the Philippines namely Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao held a gathering to celebrate SHINee's anniversary together.

Tada~ effort at its best. I visited Google Images and typed "Philippine islands" on the search box and unexpectedly, Google gave me this. Perfect! It is because the cities mentioned in the map are the cities where the gatherings were held.

Luzon -> Manila

They had their Anniversary gathering on May 25, 2013 same day to Dream Girl + Why So Serious Album Launch.

Yours truly is not going to elaborate because I was not there in the first place.

Visayas -> Cebu

As far as I can remember, I saw the event page of SHINee World Cebu regarding their anniversary gathering. If I am not mistaken, they also held their meeting on May 25, 2013.

Mindanao -> Davao

Mindanao Shawols, as what we refer to ourselves, celebrated SHINee's Anniversary together on a Sunday last May 26, 2013. I know, it's one day late but there's a saying that goes like "better late than never". *sticks tongue out*

Before anything else, I was one of the event organizer/volunteer and mind you it is not easy to organize such a small event. How much more a big event right? T_T

So what did we do? It's quite simple but not the cliche type gathering.

We started around 2:30 in the afternoon even if the proposed schedule was to start the program at exactly 1 o'clock. Don't ask me the reason behind the delay because you guys probably guessed it right already. Yes! That is right. We cannot control everyone to be on time though there are some who are really on time.

1st Activity: Guess that SHINee Song

This might be common but heck yeah a singer got us head over heels so it is inevitable to have a game like this. Everyone was allowed to join except for the organizers. The thing here is I just want to point out that this game became a one-sided game HAHAHAHAHA. The game master purposely chose those songs not often heard from SHINee to make the game more challenging but one person really got the knowledge of almost everything. Imagine with only an opening hymn playing for not more than 10 seconds she can already tell the title. DAEBAK. I was dumbfounded. I don't even know the answer unless I hear the lyrics. LOL

Easy win that is. She took away all the prizes (almost) cause we prohibited her from joining on the last few songs. You know "Give chance to others" kekekeke~

2nd Activity: Let's watch ourselves

Mindanao Shawols participated in an International Fan Project lead by Youlahaha in which fans around the world will give their congratulatory messages to SHINee. Since we were already gathered and it's their anniversary, we decided to stream the anniversary video and watch ourselves together. Check the video below:

If you haven't recognized, the 2nd video after Indonesia which is from the Philippines is from Mindanao Shawols. YEY and so yes we laughed so hard because of our faces. LMAO

3rd Activity: SHINee World 1st Concert in Seoul Screening

Screening! Yes! SHINee in big screen! But not the cinema type because we can't afford. Buahahaha. Let's just say it's an innovation. Get some white big cloth and tacked it on a wall, use some projector and a laptop, ready some deadly loud speakers and play the concert...BOOM finish.

Simple. We just had our own little concert with the lights off, no lighstick though, but we had our balloons.

I don't have anything to say in this part though because I wasn't paying attention while Disc 1 is playing and we went to the mall to buy our snacks while this was playing.

4th Activity: Hold the Note

The player must be able to hold the last note of the given song for as long as possible. Obviously, player with longest time wins.

We picked 5 people from the crowd (OT5) to participate in the game. Fortunately, we had 1 MVP, 1 Taemint, 1 Blinger and 2 Minho. YES. Sad to note, we were not able to pick a Locket (I am a locket but I am not allowed to participate ke). So much for that, it was very funny to see their faces while holding the note hahahaha so cute and adorable dongsaengs. To sum it all up, the participant who won was *drum roll* a BLINGER. Outstanding 22 something seconds of holding the note and we therefore concluded, LIKE BIAS LIKE FAN.

5th Activity: Saengil Chukahamnida~

SHINee's birthday so we must not miss the cake and sing Happy Birthday! \O/

Let's light up the candles. 5 because 5 years old and OT5.

Let's now sing! Saengil Chukahamnida~ Saengil Chukahamnida~ Saranghaneun Uri SHINee~ Saengil Chukahamnida. HAHAHAHA *because we're not Korean so just sing what we know LOL*

6th Activity: Intermission Baby "Honesty"

Who would have thought that Korean Shawols edited HONESTY and entitled it to SINCERELY which contains the feelings of ShaWols toward SHINee? No one right and it made OT5 cry during the fan meeting event. Also, if our boys are so talented, their fans also are talented may it be in singing, dancing, acting, rapping or etc.

Let me acknowledge my co-organizers namely Pam and Jenn who sang Honesty to entertain us all during the event. *standing ovation" Their calm and soft voices melted our very hearts as the song is also a sweet song that contains SHINee's feelings toward their fans. ❤❤❤❤❤

7th Activity: Ultimate SHINee Quiz Bee

Mechanics of the game (credits to my co-volunteer who was assigned to this): The game master will ask a series of questions about SHINee with varying difficulty, and each question with a corresponding amount of points. Each player/group will be given an amount of time to answer the question. After three rounds, the person/group with the most number of points wins.

We grouped the crowd into 4 groups each with 3 members but one group got 4 members. We asked various of questions related to SHINee. From discography, casting, variety shows down to just you know questions. We chose the 1st and 2nd placers to receive our prizes because we have many prizes so why not give. CHAR.

I have photos of the groups but I will not post because "insert the law here that states permission is needed in order to post photos of people on the internet"

8th Activity: SHINee World 1st Concert in Seoul Screening Part 2

HAHAHAHA. Playing around whil watching doesn't hurt right? So why not. Posting this because it's my face. LOL

We were really crazy while watching the concert please. The way we do the fanchants and screams and jumps feel like we were at a real concert.

DAEBAK! HAHAHAHA I REALLY WATCHED DISC 2 WITH THEM AND IT WAS DAEBAK. MY THROAT HURTS A LOT BECAUSE I SCREAMED MY LUNGS OUT.

AND JUST LIKE HOW SHINee cried at the end because of HANA/ONE, we also became so emotional. It felt like we will experience concert withdrawal in a few minutes once SHINee disappear on the stage. AS IF IT WAS A REAL CONCERT HAHAHAHAHAHA but yeah jincha! ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ DID I MENTION THIS WAS THE CONCERT WHERE JJONG WAS CRYING HIS LUNGS OUT BECAUSE HE WAS INJURED? "SHINee WORLD mianhaeyo~~" OMG WHAT DON'T SAY SORRY. TOGETHER WITH K-SHAWOLS, WE CHANTED "GWENCHANA GWENCHANA GWENCHANA" which means "it's okay". ㅠㅠㅠㅠ ___ ㅠㅠㅠㅠ and so that's it. IT ENDED.

...... IT ENDED. DON'T GO SHINee DON'T GO. hehehehehe~ >.<

9th Activity: Memoir

Picture taking! HAHAHAHA this will forever be the last activity. It's needed though to keep our memories together because it is a one precious memory to be kept and be remembered some other time. We will look back and tell ourselves, "wow I remember this, and this and this" and how amazing it was to be with some people who understand our liking to K-pop".

I love these people. My new found friends. My virtual and real life friends. Thank you everyone. Next time again on SHINee's 6th Anniversary maybe? If time allows :3 Neomo Saranghaeyo~ ❤

So many problems encountered while preparing. Originally, the plan was to screen Japan Arena Tour instead of SWC but we had some difficulties so yeah~ Also, the organizers were really nervous a week before the event because of the thoughts like what if we cannot reach the expected number of attendees (which is actually 30) then that means we will have a surplus in our freebies, we MIGHT be using our own money to pay the venue as well as buy the snacks. That would be a dilemma! /insert panicking person gif here/ We were actually on the verge of giving up and cancelling the event but we took the risk and pushed the event for the love for SHINee. /sigh/ Oh by the way, we were only 18 (16 fangirls and 2 fanboys) in the event and yes we did not reach 30 OTL but it's okay. With that, we were more INTIMATE. Pyooong~ our gathering theme is INTIMACY by the way. ((please don't spread i made that up lol))
